TopXNotes ScriptPak

by MacSpeech, Inc. (Ev)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Salem, NH, January 4, 2007: Macintosh speech recognition authority MacSpeech Inc. has released new ScriptPaks for TopXNotes and TopXNotes iPod, the popular notepad applications from Tropical Software. The new ScriptPaks add almost 150 commands to iListen, allowing users to do virtually anything in TopXNotes or TopXNotes iPod they would normally do using the keyboard or menus.

"iListen is by far the best speech product ever created for Macintosh," said James Lee, President of Tropical Software. "It is what we were striving for when my team ported ViaVoice to Macintosh and what ViaVoice should have been. I am thrilled MacSpeech has produced a ScriptPak to speech-enable TopXNotes and TopXNotes iPod." Mr. Lee was the coordinator of the team that developed ViaVoice for Macintosh for IBM.

"I found TopXNotes iPod has been the absolute best way to sync notes between your Mac and iPod," said MacSpeech Chief Evangelist Chuck Rogers. “Speech enabling it makes organizing your notes that much easier!”

ScriptPaks work with MacSpeech's flagship product, iListen, whose TalkAnywhere(TM) technology allows users to dictate anywhere they would normally type. ScriptPaks enhance iListen's Command & Control capabilities by teaching it about the individual keyboard and menu commands in a specific program. ScriptPaks only affect iListen's ability to control an application and are not required for dictation.

MacSpeech offers several iListen packages, including a software only solution for $99, and a software and headset with microphone for $149.
