Has anyone gotten this micrphone to work. The buttons work just fine just no audio input. Any help would be appreciated. It works with DN Speaking. Might be a driver issue?

Mac audio is different from PC audio. Here is the list of MacSpeech-certified microphones: http://www.MacSpeech.com/microphones Dictate for Mac requires a USB microphone -- either with direct USB connection, or using a USB adapter.

I use this as my microphone of choice. Audio input works just fine on OS X up to and including 10.5.6. After that it is still audible but the sound quality is dreadful. It also works (sort of) using the combination of Linein and Soundflower that others have posted about on this forum.
I am most interested in your comment that you can get the buttons to work ok. I can't. I use USBOverdrive, and I can get the left and right mouse buttons to work, but none of the others. If you have a method for getting them all to be recognized I would love to know about it.
I also use this mike to drive Naturally Speaking on my Mac using Parallel. Of course, under this setup all of the buttons on it are alive. It is far and away the best means I have found for dictating. Pity that Philips won't produce a Macintosh version of their software.

Does the SpeechMike Pro work with Dragon Dictate?

Unfortunately because of profit margins, manufacturers often don't put as much effort into the Mac side of universal microphones (microphones that are designed to run on both Mac and PC operating systems) and because we only use a PC w/NaturallySpeaking we cannot test this microphone for you but what we can't tell you is that the Philips 5276 is in its end-of-life cycle and there will be no future firmware upgrades or application improvements because Philips has replaced it with LFH 3205 which features a new design and an improved microphone element.
The new software for this microphone is supposedly more universally oriented but we've also noted that the new application currently works on the now discontinued 5276 model. You might try checking the Philips website for a newer version of your software because it would be a free download and we can attest that the new version of the software works well on the Windows side. Hopefully a newer version of the application will help.
