I have just installed dragon dictate 2.0 on my MBP and I am having problem to use it with mac mail. Is there a command to GO TO TO line, GO TO CC line, GO TO subject line, GO TO body?

Also, I have hotmail and gmail as my inbox. How can I command to go to the hotmail inbox for instance?

    Thanks a lot

I just say Tabkey to jump through those fields. I don't think there are those commands otherwise built in. Gmail or Hotmail would be Safari commands, although I've seen a demo by MacSpeech folks of using Key commands in gmail with keyboard shortcuts turned on (like "press the key o" for open or "r" for reply).

I think perhaps the question was if you have more than one account showing in Mail.app, how do you access them. For example, I have both Gmail and an Exchange account - how do I get from one to the other?

For that matter, how do I get from the Inbox to the message list in the viewer. I can't even figure out the keyboard command for this, and I've searched the list of Dictate commands in vain.

And once I read the message, how to I delete it or move it to another folder? I confess I'm baffled.

Tabkey works perfect -- I have also tried "new field" command.

I am still having problem to choose which inbox -- Hotmail or gmail. Whshep assumption was correct.

It is funny how there are many commands available for mail but the simple ones are not there.

That would be awsome to see some tutorials on youtube or even on this site.

Another command that works effectively is “next field”. The other thing that you can do is create a command that would string two or three standard commands together.

It seems to me that most of the commands for Mac mail are actually menu items. In general I don't find them very useful. It seems much more practical to navigate by pointing. But, I do open, reply, paste, and send hands-free. In terms of the video it's worth considering.

Based on one of your youtube videos I created 2 commands: Hotmail Inbox and Gmail Inbox and used the automator to record workflow when I clicked on Inbox and then on Hotmail. And Inbox and then on gmail. It worked!

abledoc, you seem to be quite expert with the more advanced features of Dictate. I would really love your help in creating a Dictate macro that executes 3 distinct Dictate commands in Filemaker Pro. They are:

    Command 1
    no space
    cap next

Command 1 is an already created Dictate command which activates a Filemaker script. My sense is that this combined macro can be created in Applescript or Automator. Could you please help me with this? I have not had much success attempting to create Applescripts. Thanks!

One solution is to stack the applescript command with the applescript for "purge cache". Purge Cache resets DD so that it capitalizes the first word of dictation and does not add a space. I was successful in writing an applescript to invoke a Filemaker Pro script that inserted a DateTime, purged cache to accept new dictation.

Hi abledoc, I was browsing through your youtube clips and was wondering if you perhaps have any ideas for creating something for bullet points inside a table, but instead of indenting by pressing that indent button (because you can't indent a bullet point by pressing tab in a table) is there any command function you can make for it?

Dear Wise..., to what application are you referring? Mail has list functions in the menu that would be accessible by menu commands through DD. I suspect you are referring to Word. I do not have an answer but can explore after I acquire 2011 version, probably in 2 weeks.
