    Hi Everyone

I'm using the very latest Dragon Dictate for Mac. I love the software yet there are some quirky things about it.

I am unable to get the command "Go to End" to work even after a cache document. Also, the command "select all" either does nothing or it selects the word 'all' in the text instead of selecting all the text. I've resorted to doing "press the key combo command A" which is very long. All help is appreciated.

Since using Dragon Dictate 2 I have had to use quite a few different commands than I did with 1.5. I think the problem is that DD understands US type words, not British. Instead of using "Delete That/Word" I now have to say "Scratch That/Word". As for "Select All" say "Select The Document", it works for me. I have to say that I am not having problems with the command "Go To End/Beginning".

I am now having success with “go to beginning" and "go to end" also. It seems that this started working after I restarted the program. There is definitely a degree of patience and persistence that is needed.

I'm curious if this would help:

Go into the Vocabulary Editor. Add the terms "go to end" and "go to beginning" and "select all", along with training them there.

I tried the "Select All" in the Vocabulary Editor, and when I selected "Train" as soon as I dictated it for the first of three times, I got a window up saying "Edit->Select All is disabled"

    What does that mean?

I also have problems with the “Select All" command working consistently. I solved the problem by going to the Commands menu,
    selecting Global,
finding then duplicating the “Select All" command,
then naming the duplicate “Select Text",
    finally, closing the Command window.

I did a similar thing with the “Go to End" and “Go to Beginning" commands, I duplicated each one and replaced the word “go" with “jump". So far things seem to be working well.

For whatever reason, some commands to be quirky, possibly due to my Australian accent but to date I have been able to solve inconsistent command results by duplicating then renaming them.

It's probably not the ideal method but it works.

    I hope that helps.

Since updating to version 2.01 I have been unable to get the command “go to end” to work more than one out of 20 attempts.

I use Dragon speak on two computers, my desktop and the laptop. When I upgraded on the laptop the new program recognized my speech profile and did not require repeating the training drills. When I upgraded my desktop computer program required me to repeat the entry-level training. As mentioned in another thread, I was unable to get the program to accept training by reading the Aesop's text.

Overall, I have not seen any real improvement in recognition accuracy with the new version and the inability to get the "go to end command" to work is very frustrating.
