I recently updated DD for mac to version 2.5.2. Upon using it for a minute or so with Filemaker Pro 11 and Firefox, DD crashed. So I launched it again and it immediately crashed. I thought this latest update was supposed to fix Filemaker Pro issues. It hasn't.

While this produce has potential...maybe...right now it's very limited. Disappointing once again. DD isn't a professional product yet. I would avoid it until it actually works.

Same thing happening to me with DD 2.5.2 & FM 11 combo. Are you doing anything in particular when crash occurs? (e.g., I'm usually trying to edit User Vocab.) Thanks.

Check that. Happens with or WITHOUT FM being opened! (Whenever I attempt to edit user vocabulary.) I'm not ready to give up on the program yet, however.... Anything you've learned in the past month would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Just tried DD again after several weeks, downloaded the update, can't get past "continue" in the first window before the whole things crashes! On several occasions.

Would like to add my plea to joet54 - any help would be good. Thanks

I'd like to chime in here as well. Dictate crashes for me every time I pull up the Vocabulary Editor. Every. Single. Time.

My hand goes up as well. Every time i log on now i have to reboot 6-8 times. and every time it crashes it sends a report away.

We all seem to have the problem, any ideas for a solution?

I've just tried to open Dragon Dictate 2.5.2 for the first time since installed Lion on my 27" iMac. It crashes immediately and I get an error message saying 'Dragon Dictate has encountered an internal error and will quit now'. An error email to bugs @macspeech.com is generated. Sounds like the same problem. It doesn't get as far as opening. A couple of bounces of the icon in the Dock then it crashes.

Ever since I updated to 2.5.2, I've been having the internal error problem. I've sent along the logs that are attached to the generated email every time it's happened, but I've never heard back. I'm stuck with a dead application until something from the developers changes.

The odds of receiving direct feedback from reporting an internal error are next to nil with most software manufacturers. You especially need to be more proactive when dealing with Nuance. Most of the KnowBrainer Speech Recognition Forum members tell us that the best approach is to call (407) 241-1822. Once you have made contact with a technician, you may be prompted to send in your Dragonlog but Nuance is typically pretty good at getting back to you when you have their attention. Note that when you call Nuance, you will be dealing with level I technical support which, for the most part, doesn't use DragonDictate. They simply look up answers in the Nuance Knowledgebase which you can probably handle about as well. However, once you have established a report, if level I support is unable to answer your question, simply ask to be bumped up to level II support. Nuance has 3 levels of technical support.
