I see that Macspeech can only be used on one computer at a time. I have a new laptop and wish to remove it from my old one and put in on the new one. How do I go about this? Is it as simple as just re-installing the software on the new laptop and re-entering the license key?

Re-install it on the laptop, then log into your macspeech.com account (the same one that you used to post to this forum), then go to My Account Overview. Then go to Download Licenses for My Registered MacSpeech Products and download the zip file that contains your license key file. Extract the zip file (license.zip) and your license key file (your_name.dictatelicense) will appear in the same folder or location as the zip file. Launch Dictate and if it doesn't automatically give you the message "This is a valid license key. Thank you for using Dictate", then click on Select a License Key and navigate to your .dictatelicense file and chose that license key file.

I have three computers including my Intel iMac. I use Apple's Boot Camp to run DNS. I have a copy of DNS 10 on my Windows vista machine and on my Dell laptop. Once in awhile if necessary to uninstall and reinstall Dragon.

Why can't we put MacSpeech Dictate on more than one of our computers? At the present time this is not an issue because I only have one Mac, but the day may come when I may want a Mac book. If so then I would like to put MacSpeech Dictate on two of my computers.

There is a Support Knowledge Base article about this, which I'm quoting here:

Q: Can I use Dictate (1.x) on more than one computer?

A: The Dictate End User License Agreement specifically states you are entitled to use Dictate on one computer, so a license should be purchased for each computer onto which you want to install the product.

The one exception would be users who intend on using Dictate only one computer at a time (such as a desktop Mac at home and a laptop computer while traveling). MacSpeech allows the use of the product in this manner, as long as copies on each computer are not used at the same time.

How do I got about doing that? I just bought a Mac Pro and am currently using a traveling MacBook Pro with MacDictate.

Is there an answer to this question somewhere?

I am trying to move my copy of DD over to laptop. When I open it though, I"m told to insert data disk. I only have the data disk from 1.5. I guess when I downloaded 2.0, there may have been a .dmg file I should have saved, but is there any way to get that data disk, or copy it from the original mac? thanks!

I guess there's no way to copy the installed Dragon Dictate on my Mac Pro to my MacBook Air? If I don't have the original MacSpeech disc, well I have to purchase DD again?
