Since Snow Leopard is going to be released this Friday, I just wondered if there are any anticipated problems running Dictate with the new OS? Does anybody have any news about this?

I spoke to one of the marketing people who suggested I look at the new features coming with snow leopard, with, what I felt, was the implication that MacSpeech was going to be incorporating some of the new enhanced features of snow leopard in to dictate. Looking over the new accessibility features in snow leopard, they are quite a list of enhancements especially for voiceover. I'm anticipating an even better vocal experience with the Mac with a new operating system. I suspect there will be additional ways to harness some of those features with MacSpeech.
As for problems, I think we'll only know for sure after a large number of users start reporting their experience. And this forum may be the best place to find out how things are going with Dictate.

I'm eager to start writing AppleScripts for accessing those new features in VoiceOver. Those features will make hands-free web browsing with MacSpeech much less painful, and they will open the door to eyes-free operation of the computer and not just hands-free.
If you're not familiar with what we're talking about, the new VoiceOver features are described here:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/universal-access/
As we work with MacSpeech and VoiceOver together more, it's going to be more obvious that the contents of each window on the screen are available through the OSX accessibility features. And that the MacSpeech "cache" design is poorly implemented because it constantly gets out of sync with the contents of text input windows, even though it could easily get the current contents of the current text input window just like VoiceOver does. It would be a waste of time for the MacSpeech developers to take detours into new Snow Leopard features like OpenCL when such a fundamental MacSpeech design flaw affects so many users every day.

Is there really nothing official from MacSpeech about whether or not Dictate is compatible with Snow Leopard? I would think they have the level of Apple developer account that gets you access to Snow Leopard seeds and they could let us know. As a side note to MacSpeech, this seems to me to be the kind of support (just knowing whether or not it is compatible) that would go along way in making your users happier and wouldn't cost you anything (assuming you do have developer seeds and have been working with it).
Since I don't rely on Dictate (but would like to use it more), I'll try to find time to make a cloned backup of my Mac and then install Snow Leopard this weekend (assuming Fed Ex delivers it Friday) and report back. Someone feel free to post here if I forget as I follow the forums via an RSS feed and will notice the post.

There's nothing official that I can find, Dave.
Reports back would be useful - thanks.

I posted an update about Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) here.
Please use the relevant Forums section (e.g. Using Dictate, Troubleshooting, Feature Requests) to discuss this topic further.
Thanks!

This duplicates some previous postings of mine elsewhere on this forum. But, I am not having any problem with Dictate after upgrading to Snow Leopard. If anything, it works better! I am dictating this message right now using Dictate and have not had to make one single correction. I am posting my system configuration below. I have a relatively new iMac with four gig of memory. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. But, thankfully I am not having any problems with Dictate. My suggestion is to try it.
Here is my system configuration:
Hardware Overview:
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac9,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.93 GHz
