I need to use subsections a lot (e.g., (a), (b)) and I cannot get MSD to do that. I have tried doing text macros. While it works for (a), it doesn't work for (b), (c), etc.

EMS, what word processor are you using (TextEdit, Pages, Word)? Your processor should have an option for outlining that will create you subsections for you after you initiate with (a). So, in summation, you should be able to set your word processor for outline, say "open parenthesis a close parenthesis" then say "new line", and then it will place the (b). Just like you would with your keyboard and that particular word processor.
